Tools of the leather crafting trade

I’m thinking up projects I can teach at the school. I want to introduce people to the fun of making things out of leather. I want them to be simple enough that they can finish in a couple of hours and not involve machinery. Something that we can put together with rivets or eyelets or hand stitching. What do you suggest? There are so many possibilities…
