Belts and Buckles

The Exploring Leather Work class that meets on Wednesday evenings for 6 weeks did their Belts and Buckles segment this week. Students learned how to turn and glue edges of leather, bevel, use a slot punch, pick the right rivets, set them, attach a few different kinds of buckles and make a “keeper”. All in just 2 hours. Now I know that most of our students will never end up on Survivor–or Project Accessory–but don’t you think it’s cool that they know how to do this stuff now? I do.
